San Choi on Kew was opened in 2006 with typical Hong Kong-style decor, more space and parking. We gained the reputation for friendly service and exquisite Chinese food.

If you love Chinese food and love seafood, this is the place. The ocean platter is to die-for! The salt and pepper calamari is sublime. There literally is something here for everyone, including dishes that require two days' notice for the chef! Cantonese food is fabulous and you will be left wanting more! The eponymous san choi bau is excellent too. Good size servings and value for money.
The food at this restaurant was very good, and the service was prompt and efficient. I saw a few dishes delivered with creative presentation.
The price of the dishes was on the high side, considering the location of the restaurant, the decor (which is quite typical for a Chinese restaurant) and that the quality of Chinese cuisine in Melbourne is generally high to begin with, but if you don't mind paying a bit more then this could be for you.
