Shed Hairdressing

Terrible .. When it was the shed it had some class & I walked out with high standard results, now it's the salon (under new management ) its decreased in quality yet they charge the same. I went in after the changeover &wanted my roots to match the ends (fairly standard ) we spoke they agreed , I left there with a yellow orange strip in the mid section of my hair, I went back & they said that section isnt there responsibility ? & then they convinced me I needed less hair, so 70$ later & five minutes butchering my hair with thinning scissors (haven't seen them since the 80s) I walked out with orange & yellow blonde hair & a mullet! 240$ to look like a bogan ! They lack skill yet charge the same as those who do. Now I have to wait for my hair to grow & do the walk of shame into some poor professional hairdresser & pay them to fix it !

Not long moved up from Sydney, I was fully excited with my haircut & found all the girls to be really nice...Won't have to look any further :)

Been going to Shed for a decade, and have never had a cut I didn't like, and the staff have made me feel pampered and cared for. I simply would never consider getting my hair cut anywhere else.

i can't believe that people would have a bad experience there! I have been getting my hair done there for years and have never been happier with a salon! This seems to be the only salon in the area that DOESN'T give you the generic male/female cuts and i can walk away loving a cut and then still love it after weeks... that is pretty rare, most places it looks bad after just one wash. The staff are friendly and welcoming and i have NEVER heard any gossiping about other customers.. This is the best salon i've been to, including all my years getting my hair done in Newtown and Glebe!

I have not ever reviewed a business on this site before but having read the two previous comments felt compelled to do so. I could not DISAGREE more with those reviews. I have always found ALL the staff to be welcoming, helpful and personable from the apprentices to the senior hairdressers. In terms of haircuts I have not come across a better cutter than Ro. I have been having my hair cut & coloured at Shed for some years now & could not be happier. The cut always grows out well, keeping its shape & form and Ro's awareness of coulur is second to none. To say they do not keep up with current trends and styles is preposterous as Ro is always talking to me about new cuts and presenting me with new ideas. She also works so well with anything I suggest. I have happily recommended her to anyone asking for a good cutter and thus far all those taking my advice have been more than satisfied.
