As a sushi fanatic and occasional sushi snob, I have previously observed the meagre portion size delivered by the Sushi Sushi franchise. Hence, I won't repeat myself in lavish detail, as the whole chain are fairly consistent: the hand rolls are small. But somehow, the Sushi Sushi in Box Hill shopping centre compensates for size with flavour. While sitting in their cosy eat-in area, I noticed that in this case, my two salmon and avocado nori rolls were only thin for want of rice; the salmon component was actually quite generous. Accordingly, the taste was enough to transport my inner critic to sushi nirvana, albeit briefly. Even the vague whisper of avocado was smoothly augmented by plenty of mayonnaise. Well, I capitulated and bought another, in a true example of quality's triumph over quantity. I will be back - this is easily the best sushi outlet in the vicinity.
