Tan Truc Giang Restaurant

My mum has always come here for days when she is eating vegetarian. Im not a big vegetarian fan but there is one dish here that i really dont mind. its their cabbage/tofu marinated in spices and lemon grass that gives it a good kick and somewhat does taste like meat. Other than this dish, if ever lazy to cook at home Truc Giang has the basic traditional dishes to eat with rice like the braised pork and some soups and its not bad. Nothing like home cooked from mum but close enough for times when my mum is not around. I have never dined in but everytime i am here to order take away the place is pretty busy. A fair few dining and a fair few ordering take away as well. Service is quick so dont need to wait too long.

I ate here a while ago and decided to go back only to see it had completely changed. They must of changed ownership as the whole place has been renovated and looking much more impressive. Although I didn't mind the previous look. I'm not too impressed with the food now, it was a bit of let down. The spring rolls were probably the best thing I ate, although a little oily. Staff were very friendly. Pricing average.

They have recently had a change of ownership and renovation to the business. Since change of ownership I've been back a few times, and have been impressed each occasions. Option of having rice dishes from the prepared food at the front or alternatively order based on selection from the menu. The food is probably one of the closest to vietnamese taste having traveled to Vietnam extensively. On this occasion we had fish, tofu, chicken lemon grass.
