Terrible experience with this company. Lost 1 of my boxes and once I mentioned this, would not return or answer my calls. Have also sent numerous emails without response. They never bothered to phone me with a final delivery date, I was told around 1 week this time of the year- after 2 weeks I called and was told they were supposed to deliver today!! (Friday) but someone was sick. ‘It’ll come Monday at 8am’ I was told. Delivery guys (on both ends) were very good, which was great but losing a box which had my computer monitor and several other expensive items in it has meant the cost of my move has more than doubled, I did not have insurance, lesson learnt the hard way!! No apology, No nothing!! And I’m left out of pocket
My experience with Nathan and Karly from Tasmanian Furniture Transport was a nightmare.
I received a text message from Nathan on the Saturday evening to say that delivery would be taking place on the Monday morning and that Karly would be in touch with a time.
I took the Monday off work, and waited for delivery.
When midday came and went and I had not heard from Karly nor had the delivery truck arrived, I phoned Karly who advised that my furniture was not being delivered on Monday, but had been scheduled for Tuesday. This was a costly and embarrassing mistake for me, having taken the day off my new job to be present for ...read more
Short point return for your review
• Container numbers very simular
• Side board already damaged in storage shed prior to us arriving
• Employees addressed
• All avenues exhausted in trying to find alleged missing bed head
• Brokers have been asked to update contact information to office number only
Dear Susan,
I am sorry that this has been a bad experience for you, I would like to address a few parts of your review.
Firstly an office number should have been provided to you when you made your booking through your broker as Nathan does not arrange delivery times or days, and messaging him on a Saturday evening is not within office hours.
The container change that needed to be done took as long as it did as the other container was at a container yard, when the men arrived the fork lift was in use and they had to wait their turn, Also as mentioned to you the container that was accidently brought to you was CMT043 and the correct container that should have been brought to you was CMT034, This was simply a human error as was fixed as quick as humanly possible.
The side board that you mentioned was already broken in the storage storage shed when they arrived in Enoggera. The shed was completely full with this piece of furniture loaded on top of a cupboard with book cartons full of books on top of the legs.
The language and behaviour has been addressed to the man that you mentioned, both men have also said that due to your stair case rail they were unable to take some items upstairs without removing the hand rail (this is out of our control and employees and not allowed to do this kind of stuff for safety reasons yours and theirs)
We have contacted every person that we picked up and delivered the week of your removal even if it did not go in the same truck as your job, all other customers have written back to us saying they have not received it. Your job was not handled at any time from point A to point B therefore we have covered all avenues that we can. Including calling the storage facility and the local removal company you had pick up from your house and take to the storage facility to make sure it was not left behind at either locations. Both Employees have said that a long flat and wide timer piece was taken in the house along with the bed head that you sent the picture of that was put in the upstairs room against the back wall.
I have had similar experiences with karly and Nathan from furniture removals. Thankfully I didn't end up booking Tasmanian furniture removals after not being contacted back numerous times when they were supposed to. Collection times kept on changing. We found Nathan to be very aggressive and rude as well as exceptionally verbally abusive. Karly continued to lie throughout our dealings with her. Very disappointing.
This company was terrible. We had a small load moved from Hobart to Sydney. Our delivery kept getting delayed and they never rang to tell us. Only found out because we called them. Our stuff arrived almost a month after pickup. Our piano was damaged and our bookcase smashed in the move.
The guys who did the delivery were not even informed about the piano, and they did not have the correct equipment to bring it up to our first floor unit. It lived in the garage while we tried to negotiate with Tas Furniture. In the end we had to book another removalist, even though we had already paid Tas Furniture to do the job.
Don't be deceived by their cheap quote. Unprofessional behaviour from office staff, including ignoring our calls and messages and lying to the agent about why the piano wasn't delivered.
We've had similar issues with deception and lies from the people who run this company. Do you remember who you were dealing with?
