Upon 5 of us ordering breakfast we discovered that the menu was not flexible at all. You couldn't substitute salmon for ham or bacon even though salmon was on the menu in another dish or ham for bacon etc. Two of our meals came out first, another meal 5 mins later and the last two 10 minutes later. I had the omelette but could only eat half of it due to it being excessively salty. Poor choice, should have gone up town to the Deck Chair!
Attended on a cold winters day on a Monday. No other customers around. Was with family (12 people). Purchased about $150 of food (takeaway), I asked to use toilet and was told only for dine in customers. Said we brought $150 of food.. Told no, dine in only. There excuse is that too much use blocks them up. I said i understand and agree when it is in peak season, but it is winter, no one around could they make an exception? The staff said no and argued with me and flatly refused. Whilst waiting for food, they came out and asked me for my order number... I didn't know it as mum ordered. Think they were going to cancel my order. When food arrived ($150 worth) the fish was black (flesh) and chips over cooked. Got death looks whilst eating. Not a good experience and don't recommend.
Morning tea at 8:30 in the morning and I think they were still waking up, felt like we were inconveniencing them by being there. Forgot half the order and we were only 1 of 2 tables. Fish and chips for dinner a couple of nights later, service was no better. Paid for dinner and mistaking my asked to use cafe toilet, for paying patrons only, for my 8 year old daughter only to be told to use public toilets two doors down. Don't give them to privilege of your custom!! N
Visiting as "local" tourists with relatives from abroad we ordered simply from the menu. We were 4 of the total of 7 in the cafe. Our canned drinks arrived after 20 minutes to be told one of the orders for drinks couldn't be completed as the last can had just been sold. The other options were available but you needed to go back to the counter to decide as the waiter couldn't remember what other drinks they had left. Three of our meals arrived after 40 minutes being told the fourth was just coming. After 15 more minutes still no last meal and the other dinners also complaining that their food still hadn't arrived after 45 minutes. They had run out of Turkish bread for the final sandwich! Refunded for the sandwich we were offered no explanation apart from we had come in spring when they are not busy but with the current rush (7 customers) they had been hit hard!
