The purpose of the Dyslexia Association is to create positive learning experiences for dyslexic children which equal the experiences of the auditory learner.
Our mission therefore is to ensure that equal funding is invested in non-phonics based research and pilot projects that enhance and embrace the experiential and visual learning style of the dyslexic person.
Our commitment is to create an effective and long term improvement by increasing awareness of dyslexia and empowering the dyslexic learner through their own innovative visual and creative learning style.
The Dyslexia Association in Australia is the peak body representing an alternative approach to the conventional methods of instruction for dyslexic learners in Australia. The Dyslexia Association is responsible for lobbying the State and Federal governments on issues that affect the industry nationally, as well as advising, assisting and representing its members across Australia.
