The Excelsior Hotel

I can't say that I think all that much of this pub, though I should mention that it also has a motel connected to it, however I have been here a few times, namely because it is across the road from the motel that my parents would stay at when they were in Melbourne. This is basically your typical suburban pub with a restaurant, a pokies room, and a sports bar. However it is quite a large pub, meaning that you are generally not squeezing past people to get to the bar, and there you can watch a football match without having to try to look over all of the people in front of you. There is also a Dan Murphy's nearby which means that if you want so take home you have a huge selection to choose from. However, being a suburban pub it is not a place that I am going to go out of my way to visit any time soon.

What a pleasant surprise going there, I had not been to the Excelsior for many years as it was getting very tired and the food was just average.

I recently went there mid week and found the staff to be very efficient and helpful, the meals were both excellent in quality and price. Someone in our group ordered from the seniors menu and found the quality to be above average also.

We recently celebrated my parent's 30th wedding anniv and we were very pleased with the overall night. The food was fresh and abundant, the service was pleasant and friendly but the best part was the BILL! Very reasonable and worth every dollar. Thanks Excelsior, highly recommend it.

Great food , pleasantly surprised by the menu and service . They have updated this hotel and really made it a pleasant pub with great meals.

Will definately return here
