Great coffee, service and seasonal food are our passion.At The General Food Store, we are committed to creating an ever evolving menu using seasonal ingredients mainly sourced from the local and greater Victorian food regions. Our fair trade coffee is roasted in Melbourne by the talented team at Coffee Supreme and our providore is stocked with local produce and house-made goodies.
We endeavour to operate the food store as ethically and sustainably as possible and we will continue to implement ways to reduce our impact on the environment around us.

Lovely place, relaxed friendly service. Menu is very limited- good combination of sweet, savoury and bread/baguettes. Latte was light, food were alright. Not too rich, not too tasty but good and generous in servings.

Our menu has had quite the makeover recently and now features more options. We also change our menu on a monthly basis to maintain a seasonal focus and keep our local customers satisfied.

Our favourite cafe, can not recommend higher! The place is small so don't rock up with a party of more than 4 at a time!

We have recently upgraded our courtyard to create a comfortable space for all weather eating! It's undercover and heated... no need to limit your group size to 4 anymore!
