The Kentish Hotel

This is another one of those hidden pubs that if you have no idea that it exists you simply are not going to stumble across it. Anyway, like a lot of these pubs it is actually a hidden gem – it has some decent beers on tap, a really nice beer garden (which is non-smoking, though there are tables on the sidewalk where you can smoke and drink, though I suspect that that may change soon as well). There is also a function room out the back called 'the wine room'. The reason for this is that the walls are covered in bottles of wine. Anyway, the pub has a really nice pastoral, and historical, charm about about, and is certainly one that is worth visiting again sometime – it is certainly one that I would come back to, especially since I now know of its existence and have actually visited it.

I had not been to The Kentish before but a friend I was catching up with last week suggested the place so we gave it a try. The burger I had here the other week was so good. The patty was delicious and the burger as a whole was so filling and big. Well-worth the visit. The service was really good too, friendly staff and quick service.

Good food, I've been here 4 times now, 2 of those times it was practically empty and food still took around 40 minutes. I keep going back as I'm happy with the meals but never if I'm hungry or have time constraints.

when in Adelaide you have to visit the Kentish Arms hotel. A charming heritage listed building, great food, great atmosphere, great service. Nice outside beer garden with a roof, good for a wet and rainy Sunday arvo
