The Oasis shopping precinct is a convenient shopping precinct right by the beach offering a bit of everything. With a full sized Woolworths, butcher, Baker's Delight, specialty stores including Terry White Chemist, Amcal, Australia Post and QBD, plenty of cafes and restaurants and for the kiddies a carousel and outdoor play area which will keep the entertained for hours and instill a little nostalgia in the big kids ;) At night the outdoor fountains and sculptures are illuminated with beautiful neons which makes for a beautiful setting when dining at one of the outdoor restaurants on a warm night.
The centre itself is showing its age and could do with a bit of a revamp to keep up with the changing surroundings, but the facilities are well maintained and offer convenience plus for Broadbeach locals.
Great restaurants and a few good retail outlets make up the Oasis.
If you're staying in Broadbeach or just passing through, chances are you'll end up parking under the Oasis and taking in a feed in the Mall, picking up some groceries at the Woollies or wandering through the cafes and the variety of stores on offer. Great way to while away a bit of time if you can't hit the beach due to the wealther.
The monorail also runs between the Casino and Oasis, which is worth the short trip.
I used to hate going to the Oasis at lunch times because you could never get a parking spot but since the car park has been revamped and is now time limited it is much easier to park so I don't dread going there any more. There are lots of specialty shops and all the restaurants are great. It is a lovely place to visit at night and dine.
