We had evaporative cooling installed by Tonna and were very disappointed. The initial quotation process was very positive and we had had them recommended by a friend so we felt confident, but when it came to the actual installation we were really shocked. Our entire house was left covered in plaster dust - they used drop sheets immediately underneath the vents but didnt cover any other furniture so every book, bed and item was covered in plaster dust. As the installer commented afterwards - in old houses you also get residual dirt from the roof cavity coming through - but they didn't seem to think that was a problem or to attend to it before cutting the holes. We spent three days cleaning every item of bedding, cushions, books etc and web we expressed our dismay they offered us $100.

Got Tonna to come out and look at my heating system which had stopped working. The staff that came out were really friendly and went about their business professionally, although they appeared to struggle at diagnosing the cause of the problem. Did eventually advise that they would need to come back another day to do a more extensive test to determine the source of the refrigerant leak, and that they would call back to provide a quote and set up a time. I followed up Tonna twice and asked for the particular staff to call me back ... never heard back from them.

Rang to make an appointment to repair my heating unit - was told I would be called back by the technician same day....never called that day....and haven't called yet. They lost the business.

We had a unit installed by Tonna and are not particularly happy with their service.

We got several rude messages chasing payment the day after they emailed the invoice to us. As this was in for a rental property we wanted to check that the work was done as agreed and here the problems started. During several phone calls the details of the job was agreed, but their staff forgot this and now denies these agreements. This has led to several hundreds of dollars in repair work that Tonna refuses to cover. When I called to try to resolve the issue, I was given a lecture about not having paid the bill (the second day after it was issued to us) and told me to pay or be taken to VCAT within two days. But they would not help fixing the mistakes they did. What was agreed on did not matter.



The cleanup after the installation was pretty sloppy too.

The dude calls me one day before he is supposed to check my house and is more interested in the other quotes I was getting. If the initial service is like this I can just imagine what the after service would be like. This guy couldnt be bothered even coming and having a look EVEN after I had confirmed an appointment. There are heaps of other good places that can do what these guys do for cheaper. I will never reckomend this place to anyone. What a negative vibe.
