A good fun day out. The tour itself was lots of fun and a great way to get kids excited about different types of fruits.
Even as adults we found the tour interesting and enjoyable. Especially liked the boat ride, the macadamia nut cracking and the fruit show.
They also have a fruit shop where avocados can be bought by the bucket. So cheap!

I miss this place every time I am at the shops in Perth paying $4 for one avocado.

A great family destination, there is plenty to do!

TFW is a working fruit farm growing many different types of crops. You'll learn a lot about fruit as you're driven around and given a commentary by your very knowledgeable and friendly guide.

There are also some rides to keep the family entertained - a small train and a boat ride where you get to feed the water fowl is a fun experience, as is the mini farm where you get to pet and feed domesticated farm animals as well as Kangaroos.

Then it's on to the fruit tasting where you get to sample some unusual varieties of fruit you'd never be able to identify!

Then back to the cafeteria and shop which sell a good range of fruit-based products.

A packed picnic lunch would round out the day nicely.

It's a little out of the way (about an hour's drive from Surfers Paradise), but well worth the visit!
