Becoming a member was a waste of money! They can't tell you who is looking into your credit history or anything else much. They also made an error in my employment history and it was up to me to fix it. I had decided that I wouldn't renew my membership. I didn't realise they would deduct my payment automatically without my consent, approval or request! What a cheek!!. Then trying to contact them by phone through their website was a nightmare. Thankfully I found it on True Local website! 1300762207. They claim they can't refund the last payment and that they automatically renew memberships as normal process. Have requested the matter get escalated. If I don't get a call back I will be contacting the Ombudsman.
Paid for an annual subscription last year and forgot that it would auto-renew. So here is the timeline for this year:
January 14th - receive very vague email titled "subscription update", which among several paragraphs that explained my subscription and benefits of Veda, stated my subscription would auto-renew on the 25th of February.
February 26th - receive regular monthly credit report and new Veda ...read more
Rubbish! They're as dodgy as they come. Charging me annually (but it's much more this year than last) when I NEVER consented to it, also someone called me shortly after I signed up for the free service and offered me a credit wash, my file within hours and credit alert, so I paid $60, then when I noticed it wasnt happening, I called them and they said they know nothing about it, how is it then that my bank account had their business name as the ones who took my money and how is it that this year I got charged again!!!! So bad :/
In my 63 years I have never been refused credit until I applied for a $20 a month mobile with a telco.
They sent me to Veda, who initially would not tell me why unless I paid $79.95 for an instant credit report as they could not tell me why unless I had the report in my hand.
Noticed on their website I could get it for free, if I waited 10 days, so I did.
Nothing on the report as to why I was refused credit, so waited on hold for 30 mins b4 answered, only to be told that the report indicated that there was no reason to deny me credit and to talk to my telco, as they were the ones that made the decision to deny me credit.
Deny me credit, try to charge me $80 to find out I shouldn't be and then pass the blame to someone else.
