Village Cinemas
This place is just like your average cinema showing the normal "what you would expect" movies on their screen. Their line queues are usually short except for when there is a blockbuster movie. Their candy shop is a tad expensive but there is a safeway close by so i would suggest that you stock up on your sweets and drinks at safeway prior to attending this cinema.
Terrible experience. After a black out Village Cinemas sunshine had no co-ordination on how to instruct staff. Making promises here and there to customers when there was no clear answer or solution as to what was going on. People were left undecided whether they should hang around until the power came back on or to just leave. When the power did come back on again customers were left hanging around not knowing if movie sessions are starting again. Some people chose to wait and was advise there is no compensation for the terrible long wait experience. Being a Sunday during the day time left families with children very disappointed. Need clearer communication and direction. Management need to weigh up bad customer experience vs compensation for wait time.
Village Gold Class, Sunshine. Not impressed with a booking fee if you book via phone nor online. Not impressed with the high prices of snacks and drinks. NOT at all happy when the drinks we paid for came half an hour late. So pother than the cleanliness and the comfy seats, I was unimpressed
Glad there is a Village Cinemas in the western suburbs. I prefer Village over others. I think its in a good location, very central in sunshine where all the shops are. It does get very busy on weekends and school holidays. The only problem i have is the toilets are so far away if you ever need to step out, especially if you are in the very last cinema at the end. Also the line to the candy bar can be a wait as well but i always come early and prepared knowing how busy they can get. I like that they have allocated seatings which you can pick when purchasing the tickets and unlike other cinemas the chair you can lean your head back on it.
