Walkalong Leathers Travel & Shoe Repairs

Dropped off two suitcases, explaining that I needed one of them in two weeks, the other didn't matter when it was repaired. I was given a pick up date of one weeks time and assured they would both be fixed by then. After 10 days Michael rang to say one suitcase (the one i didn't need in a hurry) was repaired and ready for pick up. I asked after the other suitcase and Michael said he would phone me back(Monday). The next day, after no phone call, I rang back again, and Michael said he would call me back. The following day,(Wednesday) again after no call from Michael I rang and said I really needed the suitcase by Friday afternoon. Michael said he hadn't even looked for my bag. (The shop is really full - bags everywhere.) He said he was short staffed and his machinist had injured himself at work on Monday. Maybe he should have told me that earlier in the week??? Would NOT recommend. Quotes one price, charges another then completely ignores you. What are you supposed to do? Leave your items and be held to ransom. Don't waste your time or money - go elsewhere.

What amazing service! TSA lock on brand new suitcase had been irresponsibly sliced adrift by customs officers. All fixed and back to working order in minutes. I do hope Walkalong can survive for some years longer. This type of old-fashioned knowledge and expertise is rare and hard to find these days. Thank you Michael! you're one in a million!
