Wantirna Hill Club

Well, all I can say is that I wouldn't recommend travelling all the way out to Wantirna just to visit this pub (though if you live nearby then maybe it isn't all that bad – but I don't). It's your basic suburban pub, and while it carries the name club you don't have to be a member, or sign any guest book, to be allowed to walk in through the door and have a drink. Basically it is a pub, and it has pub like things, such as a gaming room, a front bar, and a bistro (as well as a couple of beer gardens for the smokers). The staff were pleasant enough, and it wasn't a bad place, however the distance, and the fact that it isn't hugely fantastic, are a couple of reasons (and very good ones) why I probably won't be gracing its doors again.

I went there with my Mum for Lunch on Monday afternoon and I had a Chicken Parmigiana and Chips with a Raspberry Lemonade and my Mum had the Seniors Chicken Caesar Salad with a glass of water. I had the Chocolate Pudding for Dessert, which was delicious also I had the rest of the Chicken Parmigiana for Dinner.

I went there with Kathleen and Jim for Dinner tonight and I had Chicken Tenders with Chips and a Raspberry Lemonade, Kathleen had the Seniors Chicken Schnitzel with Chips, Salad and a Lemonade and Jim had the Seniors Curry with a Beer. For Dessert I had a Chocolate Mousse with lashings of cream. We both really enjoyed our meals but we didn't have any luck on the Pokies.

were we unimpressed by the crude vulgar language of the staff and the inability to fathem the basic skills of customer service. we had waited an exorbitant amount of time to order because the staff were having personal conversations. save it for after work! we had not received rolls until the table next to us had politely noted we have to ask the curtosy was gone. it seemed such an effort and privilege for us to be served by the waitresses they clearly did NOT want to be there. your being paid do your duty. our food was mediocre. upon asking for my steak to be cooked longer what seemed to be the owner didn't want to deal with this simple problem. i would have said nothing and maybe returned if i had received an apology and not rudeness. very unimpressed.

The food is delicious, however person-in-charge is arrogant. Today I still love it because I have been there heaps of times already because the food is excellent and the service is great but the person-in-charge there is very rude to his guests and I don't like that at all.
