Our last visit was a long time ago. The venue has been modernised, very comfortable and trendy.the displays are full of tempting lunch options and cakes. This is a top cafe for a coffee. The Cafe has there own blend. Whipped blend. Origins: Colombia & Ethiopia.
Notes: Dark Cocoa, Brown sugar, rich raisins with subtle, tart raspberry acidity. Good call, with excellent service. Will return soon.
I have not been here in a long time but popped in during the Semaphore Fair that was happening because I wanted to get a fresh-made juice for the walk around the stalls. The juice I ordered was very refreshing and the cupcakes through the window looked tempting as always so ended up buying one for the road too!
Whipped is crazy busy on the weekends so leave plenty of time to secure a table (particularly if you have a largish group) and be prepared to share a communal table if you have to. You will probably have to line up to order but the food comes out quickly. The breakfasts are generous and tasty. Lovely place to catch up with friends.
This place is worth the 40 minute drive to get to it. The food is of high quality and extremely tasty. You can tell the produce is fresh and local. One of the best cafes that I have experienced in a long time. Highly recommended. Just avoid peak times as it is hard to get a table.
