Wild Dog Winery

The superb food, wine, atmosphere and outlook mean the staff get away with some seriously inattentive service. We waited aaages before we were able to place our first drink orders, and then had to ask twice for drinks later on. However, the quality of the wine is excellent (try the cab sauv) and the food is outstanding. We shared everything - a pizza (yum), leek tart (delicious) and a few other dishes that I can't remember - and they were all terrific. It's pricey, but the food is of an excellent quality. The modern interior is great, and the deck is a great place to relax with a few beverages, all with a delightful outlook to the vineyard and surrounding hills. I will definitely be back - but I'll know to be more assertive with the wait staff.
