If cheesecake is the best thing ever, and this article is about the best cheesecakes ever, does that make this the best article ever? We’ll let you decide (but the answer’s yes).
Chester Street Bakery
It’s an old cliché, but Chester Street’s cakes really do look too good to eat. Bold, bright and intricately decorated, they’re like edible works of art – and the Tim Tam Cheesecake is no exception. Packed with the national Aussie icon the Tim Tam… What more could you want?
“WOW WOW WOW. Just when I thought Brisbane was never going to compare to Sydney and Melbourne for its cakes, Chester St comes along and blows my mind. I would be the size of a house if I went here as much as I’d like to so it’s a good thing I live so far away…” – SiobhanBrisbane
King of Cakes
We’ve got three words for you: Baked Mandarin Cheesecake. Like everything else at Wolfgang Kelke’s legendary bakery, it’s made with traditional German techniques, and it’s utterly divine. Proper stone ovens, innovative recipes and pure artisan skill are the way of things here, and it shows in every scrap of pastry the chefs whip up. In fact, if we had only one piece of advice to share with anyone visiting King of Cakes it would be this: wear stretchy pants. Trust us.
“YES YES YES King of cakes is where it’s at. I always request cakes from here for my birthday.” – maddi12345
The Baker’s Arms
Cute, cosy and ever welcoming, The Baker’s Arms is a real testament to the strength of Brisbane’s indie cafe scene. From the wall of speciality coffees to the fresh, local produce apparent in every menu item, the whole place is a class act. And if you’re looking for a sweet treat, they serve the most incredible Blueberry Vegan Cheesecake. Creamy and rich, this is one dessert you won’t want to share.
“We went here for coffee and cake and were very happy with our decision. The coffee was very well made, tasted good and was the perfect temperature. The cake was yummy, with some very nice gluten free options. The staff were all very friendly and service was prompt.” – The healers
Welsh Lady
You may have tried mango cheesecake, and you might have even sampled a ginger one, but you haven’t quite lived until you’ve tasted both together. Fortunately, Welsh Lady offers you the chance to do so! The Mango and Ginger Cheesecake is one of this gourmet bakery’s most delectable delights, which is seriously saying something (as anyone who’s had its Death By Chocolate cake will tell you).
“Wow, I can’t believe there isn’t a review for the Welsh Lady here…Well let me set you straight.
If you want the most special wedding cake, delicious birthday cake or most perfect New York Baked Cheesecake (by the slice) then the Welsh Lady is for you…Not particularly cheap, but DEFINITELY the BEST!!!” – pxlvndl
Le Bon Choix
Let’s face it – nobody does desserts like the French. And nowhere in Brisbane does French desserts like Le Bon Choix! With a huge variety of cakes, breads and pastries, there’s something for everyone – but it’s hard to go past the Blackforest Cheesecake. This classic cake is not just gorgeously presented, with its glistening layers topped with swirling chocolate shards, it’s also incredibly delicious. It’s just begging to be devoured, so go right ahead!
