The summer may be a wistful memory, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun until it rolls back round again. Here are Perth’s best indoor activities!
Ice Skating
Xtreme Ice Arena
It might sound like an early-2000s PlayStation 2 game, but Xtreme Ice Arena is actually an xtremely cool ice skating centre that offers up all sorts of fun stuff to try your hand at. As well as public skating sessions, they also do figure skating, ice hockey, speed skating and other sports, as well as Xtreme Bumper Cars on Ice! You can hire your skates here too, so all you have to bring is your lovely self.

Bowling
Rosemount Bowl
Indoor activities don’t get much more classic than tenpin bowling, and tenpin bowling alleys don’t get much more classic than Rosemount Bowl. In fact, it’s the oldest bowling centre in Australia, which is reflected in the lovely retro décor. It’s fully licensed and the staff take great care of you, so not a whole lot has changed since it first opened up back in 1927. So grab a couple of mates and bring them down to find out who’s lord of the lanes!
“Had fantastic works party here, plenty of bowling lanes, good food and a bar for the evening, Some great deals, Steve was a really nice bloke to talk through options with. Night my office will remember for a long time.” – Dan1974
Trampolining
Just Jump
Just Jump is a whole lot more than your average trampoline joint, with loads of engaging, bouncy activities that both you and the kids can get stuck into. You can free jump on the huge trampoline mats, frolic in the foam pit, work your way through the challenging parkour playground, or even take a special trampoline fitness class for a workout with a difference. You’ll have so much fun you’ll totally forget about the cold, grey weather outside.
“I can’t even begin to describe how friendly and wonderful this place is. There were always happy and smiling staff willing to offer help to anyone and everyone and the kids were always supervised. The staff don’t just watch though, they interact with the kids, get a laugh out of them, and one worker even shot some hoops with my boy who was bouncing by himself one day.” – Dave Paulson
Squash
The Squash Factory
Squash is always a blast once you get into it, and it’s a great source of stress relief when the winter blues begin to set in. The Squash Factory in Wangara is a great facility, boasting eight glass-back single courts. You can hire one of them for yourself, or even join in a social game if you feel like wiping the floor with some unsuspecting strangers.
