This has to be the worst place I ever been to, who I presume to be the owner was extremely rude. I would be sceptical of good reviews they probably only come from staff or close family.
This is the first time I have ever given a review but after this experience it made me sign up.
had lunch here one cold winters sunday when in the area, had the vegetarian pizza and the fetta avocado on toast and both were nice, probably $1-2 overpriced for serving size but i can appreciate how hard it would be to run a profitable business in a suburb like this. limited options on the menu but enough to chose from, large caf inside with great dcor and outside area is fantastic - deck, garden, very picturesque and overlooking lake. coffees good not great, staff very friendly.
I went to 321 a few times when it first opened and it ticked all the boxes in terms of the food on offer. The pizzas I had then were the best pizzas I've had in the area and the locals were raving. The coffee was really well made and the meals and cakes coming out of the kitchen was all impressive. The only thing left was the back yard and for the providore to be started.
So I came back after I'd been away working for a year or so and the yard is a lot better, it really is relaxing to sit on the deck with the sun on your back with a "321 cider" (music could go down a touch though). But what happened to the Melbourne standard coffee and pizzas that once blew me away?
The music was weird and too loud.. 5 stars when it first opened but a cafe is all about atmosphere and great coffee.
I have been out to 321 on a few occasions now and I have had excellent food and service every time. The menu is fresh and not too flashy, the ambiance is very welcoming. I have taken friends out there for coffee and cake and they too were impressed.
Keep up the good work guys. I'll be back soon :)
