Achilles Concrete Services

Terry and his team from Achilles Concrete Services completed two jobs for us in Middle Park. The first job was in 2018 when we had our driveway and area around the front of the house completed with exposed aggregate concrete. It has really transformed the look of the house and and the company did a fantastic job (it still looks great and provides us with us great pleasure and we have received many positive comments). Last week, (September 2023) Terry, Mick, Robbie & Jimmy came around again to improve a problem area at one side of our house. They dug up the area in question and replaced inadequate agri pipe with proper water pipes and skimmer boxes; this should improve water run off issues. We also had exposed aggregate concrete added to this area and a new gate was built which will now provide us with a second lock-up car parking area. Achilles Concrete installed a concrete path down the side of our home. The crew, Terry, Mick, Jack and Chris went above and beyond the call of duty, and we were very pleased. They have tons of initiative and a very strong work ethic of a bygone era. They offered great suggestions and gave very good advice freely. Mick created the handrails, and built a brand new arbor, both of which were excellent. They also fixed my driveway gate, trimmed back overgrown gardens, suggested ornamental rocks for my garden, collected the rocks from the landscaping supplies company, and cleaned my driveway, just to name a few of the "above and beyond my expectations" tasks that they completed. They said "No job too big or too small" but when I rang and sent them picture of the job needed (as they told me to send), no reply. I followed up the next day if they can let me know. They answered "NO". That is everything. I felt that very unprofessional even when I got this referred by another handyman.

A very professional service from start to finish. Terry, Kerry, Jack and Ken could not have been more accommodating to all my needs, a truly professional job. Turning up for the quote on time, on time for the preparation, on time for the laying of the concrete and finally the cleaning and sealing. All mess was cleaned up on a daily basis. All care was taken to our fences and gardens. I believe this company deserves a five star rating, thank you to Terry and all the workers for a job well done. For their last job for 2018,Terry and his team installed a new exposed driveway and plain concrete floor in our carport. While they were at it, they re-turfed the front yard, installed new rainwater drainage, replaced a decrepit water line, and installed a pest control system and post brackets for future privacy screens.

As we were away from home over Christmas, Terry also arranged for the new turf to be watered, and even gave the lawn a free mow. Now that's service!

Their work was top notch and has added not only considerable value to our home, but also given it much increased street appeal.
