This was a rather nice pub. In fact, it was quite large, and while I would say it was quiet, I should remember that I happened to be there on a Monday, which is probably the reason. However, the thing is that this pub was pretty cool. There were a number of rooms, and it just had that style that I really like. Oh, and they also had some nice beers on tap as well.
I love the fit out of this bar, it just feels classic to me. They have reasonably priced drinks, decent food and the best part - BOARD GAMES!! There is literally nothing better than drinking a beer and playing some chess with your other half. Bliss, in the form of the Brunswick Hotel.
Classic Brisbane pub that hasn't been overly rennovated. Good range of weekly activities, including Monday and Wednesday night trivia. Menu prices seem to be creeping up, however, and the quality of the food can be hit and miss (I'd miss the sausages, for example, which often appear pale or the overly saucy caesar salad). Cheap drinks, a round pool table and pretty good parking for Fortitude Valley.
