This is gorgeous national park right on our doorstep. It has a couple of walking tracks, an easy one & also a steeper one which takes you up around the top of the Headland. There's a popular spot to view the migrating whales in the right season throughout the year. The views are stunning. There's also great views looking north to Surfers Paradise. Walking the tracks, there's plenty of wildlife to keep an eye out for- bush turkeys, lizards, water dragons, birds & sometimes snakes. I love all the contrasting elements on & around the headland- rainforest, bush, black volcanic rocks, pandanus palms, white sand, ocean, etc- Beautiful.
It's a popular spot for surf photographers, picnics, and weddings also.
