Been in lately again new owners have made a mess of an institution . Portions not consistent , table waiting is a joke and good doesn't taste the same . What a shame

Definitely a fast paced and popular place among locals. Ordering before sitting, many customers had the Hainanese chicken rice with laksa soup. The laksa and chicken is good although it is not the best I've had (I must admit, being a big fan of hainanese chicken rice, an excellent one is extremely hard to find). In saying so, the soup that comes with it is incredible!! The laksa is light in taste instead of the original rich taste.

The seating system is different - place your order and then wait for a table. The food was great though - the hainan chicken rice with bok Choy was delicious as was the hot fun and the prawn dumpling soup. Quick lunchtime service.

Wow! The laksa here is amazing! Be prepared for a bit of a line up, but it does move quickly! Get your cutlery and sauces (complimentary) organised while you wait and you will definetly get a table before your food is served (which is quickly). Not the place to go if you want a slow, leisurely meal, but perfect for lunch on the run, takeaway or a quick inexpensive dinner, perfect for students. I find myself craving it mid-week! Tasty and fresh you can't go past the China Town Cafe!
