I was trying to book with another company but as they no longer did Syd-Mel they got me in touch with Cobb & Co. As I was very disorganised and trying to book a removal only 2 days out, I immediately booked in when I found out they were able to move my things on the day I wanted (why weren't they full like every other company??). After booking I googled them and couldn't find a single positive review about the company which made me very nervous. When I got the invoice I noticed that it was from "Phil's Freight Forwarders" on behalf of Cobb & Co (again making me nervous). I called their call centre back to double check some details with them and to make sure I could at least call someone if something went wrong. The staff on the phone was reassuring and told me approximate pick up time would be between 7am and 12pm and they would call me the day before delivery (a day and a half after pick up). Talk about a bad move to move with this mob!
We requested 4 removalists - 2 turned up.
The 2 who showed then argued because the 2 others were not there. I called the management to be told they would be there soon. Hours passed.
We booked online, arranged credit card payment, then management refused to unload unless we paid cash.
The most unprofessional movers I have every encountered.
