Evan and I went to Elaia on a Tuesday evening. There was no need to book, as most places are reasonably empty on a Tuesday. I've been to Elaia a few times and I really enjoy the laid back atmosphere it has to offer. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and there is a big fold-back glass partition for when it's warm outside. When we arrived there was a 21st birthday happening at one table, and a couple of other tables filled. Again, we had a look at their website before we arrived, which has so many delicious looking options on it. We've eaten here quite a few times now, but I'm sorry to say that we've found somewhere else to go for breakfast now. The food here has nearly always been very good, however the thing that lets Elaia down is their SERVICE.
We dined there for breakfast on Father's Day this year, and our order was somehow misplaced. We watched table after table get served before us, and then when they discovered their error, they still kept serving other tables before ours!
They did end up giving us the meal for free, but it's just not quite enough. Great food, and excellent servings - we really do want to keep going there! Until the service improves though, there are other places we now prefer.
