Gloria Jean's Coffees
No reviews in over 3 years, wow! I only recently moved here but seemingly the quality of this cafe has improved a lot since the last review! Granted it’s still “cash only”, but only temporary apparently so I assume it accepted card before and this was bad timing. The man that works there is always very friendly and happy to see me, and the coffees and food I get from there are always delicious! I only live a few minutes away from the shopping centre, and this is the cafe I take my business to daily, it’s that tasty!
Dime a dozen Gloria Jeans! Gotta give it to them - they are consistent. I don't like the chocolate for cappuccinos, it is very coarse and granular (this is a problem I have at all Gloria Jeans cafes, not just this one). It is a nice open location and quite comfortable with chairs spilling out into the Gordon Centre. But lets be honest, its definitely not a coffee lovers choice!
Waldo you get the feeling something is not right, when in todays plastic monetary times you hear the words, "Cash Only?" Really, NO cards accepted?
How can it be? Whats more, when you question it the staff retorts, "you not like you not buy.
Coffee was hardly worth the 5.95 I paid. Unlike other Glorias I have sampled around the traps. Stale with a strange metallic afternote.
Cash Only, means just that in this case. No taste, No class, No flavour and No cards...Just Cash...thats what this business house really cares about first and foremost. CASH?

Appalling service. Server took ages and gave more attitude than service. Struggled with the difference between six cakes and eight cakes. Had to go through two piles to find one a suitable box. Threw other boxes on the floor.
Told me!'I have no time for this'wjen we tried to give exact change. They told me to go ahead and complain officially about them. No worries you have lost a customer. Not that you cared!!
