La Boussole

Decided to try La Boussole for breakfast on a quiet Saturday morning. There was only five people when we came in and placed our coffee and breakfast order. Menu looked promising, the cabinet stocked some premade rolls and sandwiches and the display cabinet was mainly filled with colourful macrons. The caf itself was quite disappointing. There were dead plants which should have been removed and the newspapers were all over a week old. I observed many people walk to the newspaper pile, look at the date in surprise and put the newspaper back, I too was one of them. We sat for over 50 minutes waiting for our coffees to arrive, even after prompting the staff, I did not think we would see our coffees nor our breakfast order as I noted the take away customers were waiting a long time but eventually getting their take away coffees.
