Still one of my absolute 'treat yo self' restaurants. Their service gets better every time I go - just make sure you book! They are incredibly popular and their bookings reflect this. I seriously cannot get over how great their starter salad is - OH and the sauces - Cafe de paris (I die everytime!)
'We do one dish and we do it well'. If that's your motto as a restaurant, you've got to be pretty prepared to stand by it. As vegetable-lover, more than a meat-lover, I attended dinner at Les Bubbles believing I was sacrificing my enjoyment for my partners.
I was so incredibly wrong. A starter salad with warm bread started us off, before we were presented with a beautifully grilled steak, topped with bottomless fries. I tell you, even as a non-steak loving person, this meal was just incredible. Giant steak, perfectly seated, and honestly the perfect amount of chips. My partner fully intended to take advantage of the bottomless fries but in the end found he didn't need to.
I honestly couldn't recommend this food highly enough. If you're even faintly interested in good quality steak, Les Bubbles should go straight to the top of your list.
Two amazing visits, two amazing experiences. Love this spot. So chic with a hint of naughty history that is celebrated in their decor. Yummy food of course. Hubby loved his steak and I was happy that they accommodate pescetarians. And their cafe de Paris...... With the bottomless fries......... Time for another visit I think.
When a restaurant only has one thing on the menu and it's always booked out... you know it's gonna be good! I'm not usually a fan of steak and definitely don't go out of my way to order the dish - but this is what they serve and they serve it well.
For $30 pp you get salad, bread, steak and UNLIMITED chips! Not only that the pepper & cognac sauce is super delicious - and they don't charge for extra sauce. It's amazing!
The meat is so tender - who knows what cut it is - but it's so tasty!
