Rustic walls with modern decor and antique artifacts, subdued lighting with jazz playing in the background make Malayan Orchid Restaurant a dining out delight. The ever-changing menu is based on a Malaysian, Thai, and Chinese infusion, which introduces a range of interesting dishes based on exotic local produce including camel, yabbies, hare, Moreton Bay bugs, sea urchins, crocodile, emu, venison, kangaroo and ostrich. Seating is available for up to 80 guests with tables well-spaced.
An outstanding wine list complements the extensive menu.

Have eaten in and ordered take away, both great experiences. Inside is cosy and warm, nicely decorated and clean. We didnt need to wait overly long for our meals either which is always nice.
Food was presented nicely and served by lovely waitstaff. I always recommend Malayan Orchid to others.
This place used to be my favourite for homemade steamed dim sims and lemon chicken. Lately the service has been appauling. When asking after my drink order and when I could make a meal order the waitress curtly replied " do you want your drink order, or to make a meal order". "both" I replied. She continued to be rude and abnoxious and several other people have been since and found this waitress rude. I won't be going back and my friend won't either.
