There is plenty on the menu at this suburban beach cafe to whet the appetite. Offering all the cafe favourites, from eggs benedict and smashed avocado on toast, to burgers, salads and super breakfast bowls, choosing what to eat can be a challenge!
If undecided, go for one of their specials; we hit the gastronomy jackpot with a stunning plate of homemade falafels, zaatar bread, hummus, avocado, cherry tomatoes and olives. Made by the cafe owner's mum, the falafels were light, flavoursome and a lovely shade of green on the inside and were perfectly accompanied by the smooth, lemon spiked hummus.
Service is sunny, and Nostimo Cafe is obviously a popular breakfast spot amongst the locals who the staff greet by name. With a great vibe, great food and lovely service, what's not to love about this family run business?
Nostimo Cafe sits on a quiet strip of shops just off Anzac Parade. It's only minutes from Malabar beach and just up the road from the belt of golf courses that line the coastal strip that extends down to La Perouse. We found the service welcoming and friendly and a fitout that reminded us of surf shack. Lots of timber, give it a warm and cosy atmosphere. On the food front there's the classic bacon and eggs done your way. The tasty savoury toast shows off the chef's skills. Marrying shaved brussel sprouts, pickled radish, and a vibrant green tangy dressing with a perfectly poached egg, it really is a symphony of texture and flavours. Coffee is exemplary. There's cakes and other sweet treats to power you through an afternoon of swimming or 18 holes. Slow down as you apporach Malabar and drop in for a little while, it's worthwhile!
Nostimo is a great little cafe located in Malabar. With a fitout that reminds me of a surf shack, crazily enticing menu and appetizing specials board this place packs a relaxed vibe with some serious eats. The breakfast bowls are packed full of colour and flavour and come in their own coconut shell bowls - I would hit up the Ocean Break Bowl. If dropping in for breakfast then the smashed avo is of serious size and taste. Also at less than $12 you can still save for your house deposit. In there at lunch time, I chowed down on the kofta burger which came out on Turkish bread. A nice little twist on your traditional burger. Whether you are just dropping in for a bite or a feast they guys at Nostimo will be able to hook you up with whatever you are feeling

If you are looking for something to do, make a day out of it, stop by for breakfast, brunch or lunch. The area is surrounded by plenty of nice beaches, golf courses and bushwalking tracks.
The cafe has alfresco dining if you prefer fresh air and sunshine, if it is cool there is ample seating inside the cafe. This was a brunch and we opted to dine inside. Odering coffee and some freshly made juice to start, both very enjoyable. ...read more
Set in a sleepy little strip mall, Nostimo Café has all the hallmarks of a coastal café. From big black umbrellas keeping the sun off their al fresco tables, to an extensive please-all menu that addresses all the current café trends, it’s clearly a popular hub for Malabar locals.
When we arrive for brunch, the café is jam packed with an eclectic mix of people. There’s a woman in heavy silver jewellery clutching a fluffy white dog; two older men chatting over coffees; and a younger trio in active wear eating a full breakfast before declaring it’s time to do their 20,000 ...read more
