Playford Tavern

Out on the dusty northern plains of Adelaide, in a part of the city that middle class people rarely trek, lies the Playford Tavern. Okay, I probably am going a little overboard because I did have a middle class friend living out here (because houses are ridiculously cheap), however upon arriving at this place I felt that maybe the part of the pub I shouldn't visit was the sports bar, so I made my way around to the restaurant area where they were having a game of Christmas bingo. That part of the pub wasn't bad since it was mostly the elderly that play bingo. The staff were okay, and there were some places I could sit for a drink, but after watching what was going on outside, I felt that maybe this is a place that I'm going to be keeping at arms length in the future.

The food here is terrible! Zero taste! Worst potato salad I have ever had, potato bake was still raw! Over priced and not worth wasting your stomach space on this!

Have been to the Playford Tavern on 3 different occasions and have been disappointed each and every time.

Whether it be from the food being cold, or the wrong order being given to us or waiting for over an hour for our meal to be brought out, I have to say that, I don't think I will be dining there again any time soon.

I do, however, give them credit for having an indoor play ground for the children.

The Playford Taverner Hotel is the most delightful hotel to dine at. The location for us is just fantastic. The staff are just so friendly from the moment you walk in. It is a wonderful environment for all the family. The food is just divine from the steak to the pasta. Compliments to the chef i have to say. If you are after an affordable and delightful meal The Playford Tavernet Hotel is the perfect spot.
