We finally made it to St James Crabhouse... A tiny but mighty spot under the Story Bridge. My mussels were cooked perfectly with a Singaporean chilli sauce. So so filling. Hubby's one massive rib was super yummy, as you'd expect after 12h of sous vide. Great service, the staff were very helpful and friendly. There's something homely about having someone put a bib on you. If you are coming, try to get in early as tables fill up super fast!
For a crabhouse you'd think that their specialty would be crabs. $90/kg for a mud crab that tasted like yucky mud was very disappointing. From the first bite it was gross, but we pressed on. We ordered the cajun sauce which also tasted a bit weird, but I'm certain that there was something wrong with the crab as it was mostly just mush.
