I recently moved from Newcastle and had to sell my horses, so I now bring the kids to Sydney Trail Riding Centre. I have been to their old facility and their new one. I LOVE the new one.
The experienced ride is great fun, the horses are so well behaved and well trained.
And the kids love the walking rides for beginners...
Could reccomend this place more!
I am an experienced rider, and for the whole hour it was just walking, this was extremely boring for me. I asked if I was able to at least trot or canter behind the group and was refused because there were beginners on the ride. There was around 5 or 6 other volunteers and staff members that would've been able to stay behind with me and canter. Not to mention my friend who had never ridden before had her stirrups way too long, I told the volunteer that they looked a bit long and said they would be fine, she couldn't even reach them she was basically riding stirrupless. I volunteer at a riding establishment on the central coast and everytime there is someone more experienced they either let them canter off in front of the group (there is a volunteer or guide at the front to ensure no ones horse tries to take off with the other horse) or a volunteer stays behind with them, even if the rest of the ride are complete beginners. Absolutely FANTASTIC trail riding! I have ridden at more riding schools than I could count and Sydney Trail Riding Centre by far has made it to the top of my list. Your horses were all brilliant and suitably matched to each rider. Your staff were clear and concise with instructions and engaged in friendly conversation throughout out ride. It baffles me that I am reading bad reviews about this place! I have never seen such well cared for horses in a riding school with fantastic temperaments to match! I was also lucky enough to catch some of Grahame's liberty work for a child's birthday party, which I was thoroughly impressed by! The smiles on the children's faces said it all! Thank you to the STRC team for such a wonderful experience! I will definitely be back!
Lovely property. I've ridden at a lot of trail riding places and this was very well set up with good horses and the guides were great. Beautiful trails, really suprised to see the negative comments, lots of non riders on the ride I went on and they were looked after really well. Clear introduction, lots of help and support thought it was really well run.
