Nestled at the rear of the shops off Mt Barker Rd you will find, The Essence, a spacious, light, bright, modern, cafe, with inside and outside dining. The emphasis hear is fresh, local produce, organic and prepared on site. The range of food is very extensive and appetizing. Breakfast, daily baked muffins, breads, cakes, salads, with a large range of baguette' filling. Mostly gluten free, or in wraps. We chose, The Basic Breakfast, bacon, scrambled eggs, homemade baked beans, hey the beans were great, also the breakfast baguette, with coffee's. We enjoyed a very appetizing breakfast, the servings were extremely generous. the coffee's took us by surprise, excellent. This cafe is well worth your visit.
