The Watershed

My girlfriends and I steered away from our usual place at Mawson Lakes for a catchup and decided to go to The Watershed as one of the girls had never been here before. It was nice and busy, service was alright and the food was okay. I did enjoy my dish but one of my girlfriends was not pleased not too pleased with her spaghetti marinara dish she ordered. One of the reasons was that on the menu it said softshell crab but when it came out it was not softshell crab. We mentioned it to the waitress after we were about to pay and she was very nice about it and told the chef, which they then apologized for as they hadn't changed over the menu they said.

Came here today for lunch and ordered the Vegetarian Tart... It was filled with zucchini, sweet potato, caramelized onions and capsicum, served with a side of salad and it was delicious! So filling too! Definitely recommend to give it a try even if you're not vegetarian like me.

The Watershed offers a basic menu for breakfast, and an awesome lunch menu. The price is reasonable for the service, and quality of food. Lovely outdoor, decked area with shade provided if you request it.

The wait-staff are very friendly, and despite one or two delays if it is busy, they maintain a pleasant attitude.

My friends and I go there at least once a week, because it is the best place to eat.

OH! And the coffee is fantastic. Best place to drink coffee - the barista's are very very good!!!!!

Expensive, average food ridiculous staff! Went there w my baby girl and when asked for a table away from the sun as she was only 4 weeks ( by the way I called and made a reservation) the staff left me standing and walked away...

First time experiencing this place last year with a friend for a brunch date, we ended up walking out not long after we sat down. We were greeted with a not so friendly waitress, eventually given the menus by being it dropped onto the table. Now most recently, came here for a wedding. Was a happy night, and no doubt we all enjoyed party time and celebrating with the bride and groom, but the service of the place wasnt the greatest. It was a cocktail style wedding, I wont mention about the amount of food going around, but the consistency of the food going around was quite disappointing. Although most of the canapes were quite tasty, the food wasnt being distributed evenly amongst the guests gathered around the function room, people after a while started to notice that so instead of waiting for food to go around they would wait around the entrance or hastily walk over to the waitress and grab amounts at a time.
