Whats Happening July 2016-Adelaide

Never one to cower indoors when the weather sucks, Radelaide is about to get that much rad-der this month with these must-see events.

Glenelg Winter Wonderland

Date: 2-31 July
Location: Moseley Square

South Australia is a state of extremes. So, when an ice rink and snow patch pop up right next to a beach, of course it makes sense. On Moseley Square beside Glenelg Beach, behold the wonders of winter at this year’s Winter Wonderland!

Go for a skate on the ice rink until 7:30pm and 9:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays. If skating isn’t your deal, check out the fun snow play experience where you can muck around and adult like a boss in an enclosed area with soft ice. Grab a shovel and bucket and make yourself a snowman, make some snow angels, or just go around singing all the snow-related Chrissie carols! Find out more

Adelaide Beer & BBQ Festival

Date: 8-10 July
Location: Adelaide Showground

Given that meat sweats are a thing, we’d like to petition that meat sweatpants also be a thing, and if they were, they’d be the required uniform at this year’s Adelaide Beer & BBQ Festival down at the Adelaide Showgrounds.

Marvel at the the meaty barbecue wonders of South Carolinian pit master, Rodney Scott, Sydney’s pinnacle of burger bad-assery at Mary’s Burgers, and South African barbecue ambassador Duncan Welgemoed. Adelaide’s best local barbecue wizards from Gilbert Street Hotel, Golden Boy and Sneaky Pickle and many more will be representing their home turf too. Plus, there’s live music, and the presentation of the Royal Adelaide Beer & Wine Awards! Find out more
