A rawing trade this place. You may find yourself having to wait for a table at peak times and/or on weekends. It has a variety of hot meals, pre prepared lunch options and a small grocery section where you can buy fresh produce like bread, I must say though these products were on the pricier side. All in all a great place to meet friends, especially if you want to be seen.
Went for a brunch with as a group of 6 people and 3 kids.
- spacious place with kids, stroller can ve easily parked. Though very busy
- ordered the chicken sandwich at 11:30, and they refused saying that was lunch menu and it doesnt start till 12 on a weekend, which was a bummer
- opted for banana bread thn ( as no egg options werent there in breakfast apart from banana bread). Got a hearty two banana breads with creame fraich. It was okay..i think 2 toasted banana breads can be too much with cream :/ butter would hv been nice
- coffe was good...no complains on that
- a friend ordered eggs n bread with goat curd and avacado .. There was just too much pf avacado, which over took the taste of anything else
Overall a mediocre experiencd
Tasty coffee and a nice range of food to choose from. There's a hot menu or pre made sandwiches etc. it does get really busy often and can take awhile to get your order. It has an outdoor section which is nice in the sun, however it's usually full of smokers which ruins it. #reviewtowin
Always buzzing with people on weekends, especially lunchtime. Airy, bright, nice atmosphere. It can be challenging to get a seat. There are so many varieties of food to choose from. Even though it is quite big, the place was too packed for out liking- people kept bumping into our seats- food are ok.
Located at Chadstone Shopping Centre, Melbourne's infamous designer destination, lies Capital Kitchen - the very large, family friendly cafe. Specialising in an assortment of baguettes, foccacias and fresh sandwiches, not to mention coffees, cakes and sweets, it's the ideal place to retire when you need to take a break from all that shopping. Sporting a relaxed atmosphere, the cafe is very homely - flower pots, rustic furniture and other homestyle pieces comprise the interior. While there is table service after you order, you need to line up to place your order and make sure you have a table number already to quote. It can get a little confusing for first-timers, especially if it's busy. Capital Kitchen is also known for its tasty gluten free bread which is often difficult to find. The coffee is good and the chocolate brownie is amazing! It's quite big, so be sure to share with a friend!
