City Family Hotel

More like a casino than a local pub

Right next to the Bendigo Bank Centre it is quite clear which pub the people of Bendigo prefer, and it is certainly not this place. Okay, they appear to have cheap food (though I would hardly call $2.50 for a biscuit cheap). Despite the cheap food, in the end the City Family Hotel is nothing more than a pokies pub. In fact the pokies take up most of the space, though there is a small area where you can sit and drink your beer (or eat $2.50 biscuit). There is an outdoor area, but that consists of basically two tables and some chairs, though it is next to the creek.

My first experience at this place was great! Welcoming staff, lovely bouncer etc. It's dissapointing that I have to find other means to write this review.

The City Family is a great place to get away and have a nice peaceful quite drink or to have a punt on the pokies, the staff are all very friendly and go out of the way to make sure you have a good time.
