This is a well established popular cafe. We joined the crowd of morning customers on the comfortable cane armchair outside, enjoying the food, coffee, chat and reading the local news.
The inner decor incorporates industrial style stools, with one long communal table, and benches, plus tables and chairs, and fabulous natural stone walls and wooden shutters give a dash of French style.
The barista produced an excellent coffee, Gabriel Speciality Blend, vibrant, smooth, with a pleasant after-taste. The service was efficient and friendly, a very enjoyable, relaxing start to the day.
You know when people say they were given "poor service" and you think "oh yeah, I bet that's one of those people that thinks it's poor service whenever it's busy and they don't get their every whim catered to, etc..."

Don't know why the other dude complained. Still funky, still cool with a great breakfast and lunch menu [they also serve tapas] and truly the best coffee in the area. If you're lucky, you get a table in the sunny out door area. Inside, although cosy, it can get a bit noisy on a busy day, especially during school hols. They open on a Friday and Saturday night and the prices are pretty good. We shared a tapas with four items for $30 and it was so huge, we could only eat one dessert between the two of us.
Used to be the best! Very funky and very cool .... has lost that appeal to an old , rude, senil generation of customers. No laughing, no smoking, no talking, no happy times!!!! No, no, no .
Absolutely has gone downhill. Have been disappointed a couple of times, the most recent when I went in to get a couple of takeaway coffees and was told they were too busy to make takeaway coffee. Won't be bothering again.
